▪ We are more than midway through design and management of a major multi-year hospital renovation project. The project has been on a fast track basis and has proceeded according to plans. ▪ We have been selected by Hennepin County to provide environmental services over a two year period. We are also working with MNDOT and the Metropolitan Council on long term contracts. ▪ AES has been asked to teach a full day course on the basics of industrial hygiene at the Minnesota Safety and Health Conference in early May 2010. ▪ We are providing consultation to a nonprofit in the renovation of several large buildings for residential use. We are working on mold, lead and asbestos issues. ▪ Last year we completed a large MNOSHA evaluation of the laboratories at the University of Minnesota. ▪ AES continues to provide health, safety and environmental consulting to eight K-12 school districts. We provide safety programs, safety training, asbestos, indoor air quality, lead and consultation services. ▪ AES has been working with contractors on the clean up of lead contamination in a large facility that had an extensive soldering operations. We are providing sampling and analytical support. ▪ AES has been selected to perform an evaluation of lock out tag out procedures for a large defense contractor in a local facility. ▪ AES has been selected to provide asbestos design and management services on two federal projects in western South Dakota. ▪ Last year AES was selected by a large corporation to do an asbestos reinspection and prepare an Operations Maintenance program for a large facility in Michigan. ▪ We have performed a large number of studies of welder exposures to chrome 6 while welding stainless steel. We have a large set of data on these operations. ▪ AES has been providing consultation on laboratory operations in several biomedical firms. ▪ AES has been providing consultation an sampling services for the evaluation worker exposure to toxic metals in power plant ash. ▪ AES provided a large study of staff exposure to nitrous oxide in a hospital environment. Changes in procedures and equipment were made to reduce daily exposures. ▪ AES recently provided an analysis of asbestos and other risks to fire investigators following a large fire. ▪ We were asked to provide testing and consultation to occupants of a school with potential exposure to microwave radiation from nearby cell towers. Our data verified the expected very low levels of exposure. ▪ AES is about 80% complete in a multi year asbestos clean-up of a corporate headquarters in the Twin Cities. ▪ AES was asked to do studies of noise and various chemical exposures for a large local corporation to assist in a negotiation in a MNOSHA violation. ▪ AES was selected to survey both noise and airborne dust in grain elevators throughout Minnesota to assist with MNOSHA compliance. ▪ Last year AES provided air monitoring support for large scale asbestos removal in a nuclear power plant. This required compliance with asbestos and radiation standards.
